I ordered an elka shock from blair. He was great throughout the process, very quick to respond and informative. He made sure everything was done right. only took week and a half to 2 weeks to get the shock to my surprise that seemed very quick to me seeing as it is custom built. He called me after i received it to go over the basics of the shock, where everything was and what it does. I did have a slight issue installing it. the lower clevis didn't slide onto the lower linkage, the roller bearing was too wide. I emailed blair asking about this and he was all over it. we talked about it for awhile on the phone, and he contacted elka and did everything to make sure it was perfect for me. I opted to just file the lower clevis of the shock to make it fit. It was by just a hair size that it didnt fit, less than 1/2 mm. got it on, set sag which was spot on that i didnt have to touch it. ran it at the track this past weekend. it felt great. rock solid through the turns even when i hit some ripples in the track and bounced around leaned over.
thanks again blair for all the help and assistance

Didn't feel like making a new thread, but I received the Elka from Blair on Wednesday. Next to my Sargent, it is becoming one of my favourite upgrades!

BTW, when you order, figure out where you want to mount it and which direction you want the hose to point (left side or right side of bike). I almost ruined my triple clicker! (don't ask)

I didn't realize it at the time, but by the time I had finished installing the shock it was nearly 9pm, and I called Blair to help me with the sag and various adjustments. He picked the phone up and helped me work everything out. That's some after hours service right there!

got my Elka, Thanks Blair!

:)
What was your cost on that. I am borrowing a Elka from a buddy for now and eventually have to get something installed myself. There doesn't seem to be too much on the open market for used shocks for a 06.

:) Hi Email me directly at [email protected] with a contact number, and I will be happy to give you a quick call and get you great deal on an Elka,

Enjoy the ride, and best regards,
