Any "Good" training, learning etc will help to improve your skills. While a lot of riding is the mental aspect, in a pinch "You go with what you know" (Thanks Homer) So it is what you learn, practice and make habit that will be what you do when the moment of truth arrives. It may NOT be your fault, but that does not mean you have to crash or get hurt. Learn more, and become better with the skills that can save your life. maximum threshold breaking and swerving are two of these, But lets not forget that the majority of all Motorcycle only accidents are failing to negotiate a curve so working on your cornering skills is paramount to making sure you stay on the road.

Read the books, then sign up and take a class. Learn from those that were trained to observe and know what to give you that will make you better.
