Got two LED strips bound to my frame with an adhesive backing. The adhesive backing sucks, and I'm pretty sure the waterproofing sucks. What can I lace the strips with to better adhere them and protect them? I need something that can hold in temps from 35 C to -16 C.

I would use contact cement, something like Barge, or Weldwood. Let both surfaces dry for 15 min before gluing to target area. I use contact cement in extreme conditions and it holds up nicely.

3M makes a double sided tape for automotive exterior trim pieces. It works.
I’ve used this for my drivers side door wind deflector trim and it’s been holding strong 3+ years thru the harsh New England weather. Think I got it from Auto Zone.

Try to heat it up to activate the adhesive. 3m molding tape works well. Kind of like a double sided foam tape.
