anyone have one or know about the comfort? I need to get a better seat, and i found the gel seat on sale for $114 or should I spend the extra on an corbin. I'm taking a couple long trips in the spring and the stock seat is not going to cut it.

The OEM gel seat is MUCH better than stock. I really like mine. I've never tried a corbin but if you do a search i'm sure you'll get a bunch of hits.

Personally, I like the gel seat as well. It is a large improvement over stock. Some riders do not like the gel seat and I would say it is not in the Corbin or Sargeant class for comfort. I was fine on a Toronto to Deals gap trip with it...way better than stock. Another option is a high density foam upgrade to the existing seat.

i have had the gel seat and then my girlfriend got me the corbin for my birthday. i sent the corbin back because it hurt my ass after an hour. corbin sent it back to me and it seems better. i would go for the seargent. the gel was a great improvement over stock but it didn't have the nice shape of the corbin.

i personally have a corbin and love it. they are a little stiff at first but once it molds some to you and your butt gets used to it it's great.

i had a gel on my '03 and it would kill me after a few hours. some of the pressure points it made really hurt. and we all know how bad the stocker is.
