Hello people.I recently bought a SV650S from 2005 and for like a month or two i had very high fuel consumption, last fuel up being around 11.5L/100km,aprox 12.5,13 liters of fuel and 111km done .Did anyone have any problems like this, and can anyone point out any problmes that may cause this,i saw other people saying that 7,8L was their highest even if their riding style is aggresive,i usually ride only in the city with the moorcycle and traffic is pretty high,i can say my ridding style is pretty agressive too and i open the throttle when i have a clear road but still looks pretty high to me.Can anyone confirm that its only the riding style or that i could have some kind of problem. Bike doesnt burn any oil and runs fine i think.Spark plugs, oil and oil filter were changed recently, and my rpm idles at around 1400rpm.Any informations are welcome, thank you!

that's pretty bad for sure (it wouldnt even be very normal on a race track). so you're either pouring a lot more in or pouring it out.... is there a power commander or some other piggyback controler which could have gone stupid? are there puddles of any kind? does it smell like gas when running?

With THAT high a fuel consumption, I would definitely be looking at something binding, causing you to use more throttle to get the same result. These things come so slowly that you don’t even notice. And don’t disregard ANY advice you come across. Make a list and check every item.

I used some additive in gasoline for cleaning everything in a 4t motorcycle and for now i think its ok,ive ridden the motorcycle in an agressive manner and got an decent fuel consumption this time.like 6-7/100km while going full throttle the majority of the time.Thank you all for the help.
