I would doubt that sag would be the cause, although that's possible. It certainly doesn't hurt to check.

More likely, what shock, exactly, did you install? If it raised the rear height then you may need to drop the forks in the triple clamps a few mm. If it lowered the rear height you may need to raise them a few mm. Small moves are best, about 3 mm per change and then test ride.
