i heard somewhere that you could change the internals of the SV forks with F3 internals and slider tubes but retain the stock lower fork legs. this way you have adjustable suspension. has anyone ever done/heard of this. a link or info would be awesome.

Yes, we do that, although we stopped offering it as a standard package due to difficulty in acquiring F3 fork internals at a reasonable price. There is a downside with the upgrade, the fork travel is less than the stock SV forks, so we stopped doing the upgrade for street riders who need the extra travel and offered it only on track bikes. They do work well though and give you rebound adjustability. But the costs of F3 parts started climbing earlier in the year, bringing the cost of the upgrade closer to a full GSX-R conversion, so it stopped making as much sense. Our team supersport rider has won several races this year on a set of the F3/SV Frankenstein forks.
