Guys,

When did Suzuki change the length of the fork tube bottoms(on the '05 SV650S)? I received my Handy Stands today and the front stand wants to pick up the bikes right fork tube first(by about 1/2 inch). The bikes left tube end has 1/2 inch less material than the right......When did Suzuki change this???? My '03 SV1000S wasnt like this!!! HELP!!!

The extra length is for the pinch bolt, right?

(just went outside to look. the 650 has a pinch bolt thingy only on one side. Mine's an 03)

N.W. Yeah the side with the pinch bolts are longer. If you look at how much material there is below the axle the pinch bolt side is longer.

They haven't changed it, it's been like that since they built the first SV400's in 1997. The 1000's use k1-k3 GSXR600 style forks

Then what are the 650 folk doing for a front stand? Are ya'll going the route of a steering head stand or should I just modify my stand for the offset?
