So the other day I was gonna lower my triple clamp on the forks and I wanted to know how low I can go. The service manual said stroke is 5.1", which leaves very little room to move. Any suggestions. Right now I'm leaving it at 10mm below the fork cap. IDK if it matters, but they are the 02 forks

10mm is not a small change, if you were near the limits you would definitely notice it, i think. Geometry changes should not be to extreme,especially since sv's handle pretty nice . i just emulated my stock forks and i might drop them 5 mm in the crown to make up for the 70 series tire.

IIRC it's about 17mm before you hit hard parts. Just take the springs out and let it compress, that's your worst case scenario

As Northwind said, 17mm is the limit befoe you start contacting the radiato with the tire. I use 15mm as a safe number.

Also remembe not all tires are the same diameter. Some 120/60's have the same OD as a 120/70. Measure your tire to make sure...
