Howdy Ya'll !!
a couple years ago i had emulators, stiffer springs & high quality oil put in the forks of the 650s. and now it doesn't dive like a scared trout when i'm hard on the binders. i love this country !!
to upgrade in power, if i get a '06 or '07 sv1000s which does have preload & rebound. would the forks in the 650 be better? and if so, are they the same size as the 1000's ?
IS A SWAP POSSIBLE, and/or am i just being silly? would the handling not be improved enough to be worth the trouble?

Thanks to all you Wise Wizards out there that have already theoryized this and or tried it already and i just can't find that thread. :D

The 1k forks are adjustable but not the same size (diameter).
You'd probably have to put in heavier springs/oil depending on your weight.
Sure, a swap is possible...anything is possible with enough time and money. But putting lightly modded 1st gen forks on a SV1k would be going backwards if you ask me.
