Dear fellow members...
This noob, who noobs around here too much, has a few more noob questions:
I have 2005 gsxr 600 forks.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a legitimate count on the mileage of them.
I found that the OEM springs in these are set for my weight.
The seals aren't leaking and the dust seals look in moderate condition.
(Is there any way of checking for OEM springs other than feeling out the front end after being installed?)
Past that, before I install them I wanted to change the oil..

Is it as easy pulling the cap and pouring out the oil?
Is there anything else I need to do?

I downloaded a 2004 gsxr 600 service manual and the fork service area shows two tools needed, a fork compressor and some small metal piece that is supposed to slide in a small groove and separate something.
I don't know the term right now because I don't have the manual in front of me.
Is this needed to simply change oil?

Links to guides and stuff would make it easier on everyone.
I've been searching. You may just proove I wasn't searching hard enough.
