i've been wondering who has made the change and stuck with it? if you reverted back to S from your naked setup, why did you do it?

I switch to the dark side last summer. I love it for around town, short highway stints, and through the twisties. For cold weather and longer highway riding I'd definitely stick with the fairing.

i went naked one my 1st gen because I hit a car and scratched up the left side pretty good. I like the naked "S" now. It took me about 10 minutes to get used to it.

nice! the acerbis look is different, i'm more plain-minded(gonna go aztec 8 single 7"). are those barend mirrors CRGs? if so, did you need to buy any adapters to use them?
the acerbis also was crap at night. not NEAR as bright6 as the stock headlight. hindsight...

thos are just cheap ebay barends. i think i paid $30 for them.

I've done the same, S to Naked, to bobbed. Windblast is rough over about 75-80. You can really feel yourself moving around, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I wanna go nekid but with a 110 mile round trip commute daily I'm afraid it wouldn't be the wisest move. I'll ride in temps down to low 40's with heated jacket and gloves but I just dunno about going full nakie.
I like either the naked look or fully faired but the half faired is starting to bug me more and more.
Lookswise the naked is bad @ss, just not sure it's the most practical solution for my riding environment.

Removed the fairing about a year and a half ago, I guess... something like that... I can't remember. My first attempt looked like crap.

But I made some changes, and like it better now. Good choice on the big single headlight. The dual setup screams "I wanna be a streetfighter, but don't know what that means".*

*does not apply to all dual headlight setups. relax.
