Well I got some Rotella, put a fram filter(yeah I know.. but I am going to change the oil again next week with a k&n or STP filter) on and I have 300 miles on the odometer.. There was not a huge ammount of metal sludge but still a noticeable ammount.. I am going to try to get someone in the DFW area to help me with the 600 mile service next friday(anyone reading in the area I will provide the beer if you provide the torque wrench and the know-how ;D )

I love this bike!

Gulf - your name doesnt fit...Dallas ain't on the coast! ;)

1st thing you'll need for the 600 mile service is a service manual that tells you what to do. you can download the official suzuki service manual for free here: http://www.sv650.org/sv_manuals.htm
I am actually from Houston but reside up here ;D I already got the manual and cant wait to get this bike checked up and out on the road some more

don't forge the air filter you'd be amazed how big a difference that little bit of paper plastic and rubber will make.
