I am on Parts Express mailing list and saw these in their new sale flyer:

Seems like these might work for radiator covers. Any thoughts?

The DIY solution posted here:

http://svrider.com/tips/radiator-guards.htm

Calls for 15" x 6.5". The speaker grills are 22-3/16" H x 13-3/4" W, so it seems like if you cut one very carefully, you might be able to get two covers/grill.

This place is right down the road from me, so I could pick up extras if these work and there is any interest.

post pics of the finished product!! also, you may want to use the existing material to fabricate a cover for the oil cooler too.

Not a good idea. The mesh will block too much air. I work on automotive A/C systems and we are always removing window screen placed in front of the condensers by some well meaning old fart. I read that at 60mph it will block somewhere around 70% of the air flow. Try driving down the highway and stick a speaker grill out the window and see what I'm talking about. Unfortunately no one has a good solution for protecting the radiator/condenser yet. Anything small enough to block small rocks will also block air.
