I installed my new vapor cluster yesterday and I want to hook up the speed sensor to the rear wheel. The sensor that comes with the sv650 kit is to short to reach and I am wondering if anyone has spliced into the wires to increase the lenght? Only wondering as the wire seems to step down after about a foot to a smaller bundle and I dont want to go cutting and ruining stuff.

If anyone has done it please let me know, or if someone has other suggestions on increasing the length of the wire somehow.

I cut and spliced a speedo cable to match it up with my hall effect sensor for a GSXR swap.

There are 3 small wires in the speedo cable. They can be lengthened without issue with the same gauge wire. Just make sure you connect the right color wires at each end of the splice or the speedo sensor won't work.
