I did and it made it louder and a bit deeper (obviously) but it also gave it a nice burble when your off the throttle and engine braking especially around 3000rpm.

Worth a try just for fun, all you need is snap-ring pliers or thin tipped needle nose to pull out the retainer ring then slide out the little can.
