Do you wear earbuds under your helmet?

I feel foolish asking this :), but I am having trouble using earbuds with the helmet. Taking the helmet off pulls them out from my ears, and they tend to fall on the ground.

Trying to find a way to use noise-cancelling Bluetooth earbuds under the helmet. I tried some of the helmet speakers and Bluetooth options, and they are either too weak, or do not block the road noise.

Do you have a trick for using earbuds with the helmet?

Not duct tape? :)
Trust me, I considered it :) Along with gaffers tape, a contraption with rubber bands, painters masking tape, silicone wax and what not.
Freecom. Only $209.95.
No. I can't do that. I would rather buy the Arai helmet I always wanted and not have any music or comm..
If you’re a bit of an audiophile and are tired of sticking earbuds that never fit right once you put your helmet on, then $210 is a good investment. I value that more than a $500+ helmet considering that a $250 helmet that’s Snell approved will protect my head the same.

The best thing I found in my gear pile has been a balaclava, but it's somewhat impractical for the hottest months. I'm looking for a spandex helmet liner/skull cap that covers the ears.
The $210 sounds good if that is what you want. (y)
I am on record as just wanting to listen to the engine song.

You have probably heard of Schampa. I have 3 neck gaitors, 2 cold weather for warmth, 1 thin for warm weather to keep bugs off my neck.

With ear plugs and with the volume not blasting, you can hear the V twin music just fine.

I have voices in my head already, it’s best I pay attention to the road.
I commend you for being talented.
Oh, I wear ear plugs always for wind noise.

You have the Jezebel Spirit? :p

Do you hear voices? So you are possessed. Give a listen.

I should probably wear ear plugs.. been riding over 10 years no ear plugs.
The ear plugs would only amplify the interior noises.

Supposedly, the exorcist priest voice was lifted from a radio broadcast.
I think most wireless buds have too much bulk for inside a helmet. I had always used wired buds in the past, but my new phone has no jack. I tried a set of cheap bluetooth buds (that are wired to each other) but the profile is slightly taller and the helmet puts pressure on them. I just got another pair, but haven't ridden with them yet.

Didn’t see any mention of these:

That’s the company’s website, but they sell on Amazon and probably other places. It’s been a while since I commuted on the bike, but the basic wired ones worked well for me and they are $20. They didn’t block sound as well as normal foam ear plugs, but definitely some, and I could keep the music pretty quiet.

Wonder where my pair ended up. Come to think of it, my new phone doesn’t have an audio jack. Crap.
How do you all clean your ears?
I use an ear wax softener similar to this,

Earwax Fluid eBay USA

Otex UK eBay

I use it every other month as I do a lot of home recording of my Guitar and backings/songs quite often late at night in Headphones. I don't wear Earbuds when I ride as I like to hear the engine/exhaust note and also Traffic noises and Emergency services as our roads over here are more compact/intense. If I were touring I would most likely use them.

I worked in one of the worst environments before I retired e.g Aircraft Industry but always wore safety gear such as industrial Earbuds and when working near riveters doubled up with Over-Ear Ear defenders as well. I check my hearing online and in my mid 60s I still have an upper limit between 12 and 13 Khz which is still good enough for music and recording.

There's a common myth that Human hearing range is 20Hz to 20Khz. This has come about because music device makers almost always quote these response figures. Most people cannot hear above 16Khz by the time they are 20 and it depreciates over the years and faster if people abuse their hearing with loud industrial noise or high volume music.

No need to spend loads on Ear Plugs as these corded ones are similar to what we got free in the Aircraft Hangers,

I wear earplugs for sound dampening/health and have a cardo for music. Lately I've been thinking about getting worse filters, just so I can hear a bit more outside.
