Do you wear earbuds under your helmet?

I feel foolish asking this :), but I am having trouble using earbuds with the helmet. Taking the helmet off pulls them out from my ears, and they tend to fall on the ground.

Trying to find a way to use noise-cancelling Bluetooth earbuds under the helmet. I tried some of the helmet speakers and Bluetooth options, and they are either too weak, or do not block the road noise.

Do you have a trick for using earbuds with the helmet?

I use earplugs. Shove them in good. Quiets that wind noise down to where I am not going deafer by the minute.
I don't need music when I ride. It just makes me want to go faster.
Do not need comm when I ride.
I ride alone. Yeah, with nobody else.

Yeah - earplugs work for me as well. It's the earbuds I'm having trouble with.

Not for music or comms. Just want to be able to hear directions on occasion, while cutting out the noise.
to hear directions on occasion,
Sounds like a limited form of comm to me.
Then again I used to use paper maps in a map holder in a tank bag.
Cell phone? Internet? GPS? WTF are those?

How is the volume on that? How about noise cancelation?
No problems hearing music or phone calls, no significant noise heard on the other end of a call. The intercoms I use also have FM radio. If you want noise cancellation use ear plugs. If you want to communicate with others and listen to music the intercoms are great.
I used to use the iPhone earphones with the cord. Now that the airpod are wireless. I find that its difficult to wear them with the helmet. Putting on the helmet and then taking off the helmet with the airpods, usually ends up with the airpods faling out. Sometimes they loosen and fall out while riding, since I am always turning my head fast to check my blind spots. Didn't work well. Was annoying having to listen to music from only 1 airpod when the other when fell out and I wouldnt have a way to put it back in. Then after I arrive to my destination, I would take my helmet off and the airpods would fall to the floor. Didn't like doing this anymore. So no more music, no more audio.
I will get a proper helmet with speakers and a Bluetooth system soon, that is the best way to go.
I use custom molded earplugs and an in-helmet Bluetooth comm for music and navigation.

Surprisingly the earplugs actually make hearing the comm easier because they block the wind noise yet transfer the sound from the speakers.
I use EarPeace plugs, and in-helmet bluetooth for nav and sometime audiobooks on long rides. Tight fit, but works OK up to about 70mph. I have also used Jabra 75t noise cancelling which work great, but not as good as the EarPeace for noise reduction and I just put up with hunting for them on the ground when the helmet came off.

One of the best things I bought. Music and directions are cristal clear even with ear plugs on. The music sounds full and rich, and it also can communicate with another rider that has a the same unit. Good if you’re backpacking someone.

I did once. I have the Samsung "Beans". It worked well until one slipped out of my ear. Funny thing, while both were in, the 650 sounded like a Ducati. Lol.
Freecom. Only $209.95.
No. I can't do that. I would rather buy the Arai helmet I always wanted and not have any music or comm..
The Arai I always wanted was the one that was $300. OK I got 2.
They seem to have discontinued that price point altogether.

Here in Los Angeles the Arai helmets are $700-$800.
Where are you getting yours from?

Oh. Discontinued that price. Yeah I see.
It was a few years ago too. And on sale at the track.
Took me a while to get there (tried SO MANY things), but I ended up with the highly innovative ;) solution of putting some tape on after inserting the earbuds. A bit awkward, but works great for me, and I'll get used to it. I get noise cancellation and Bluetooth for directions - all that I wanted.

I also want to try this - slip 'em on my ears after inserting the earbuds. Will find out Monday if it works. Would be easier than putting the tape on every single time.
