Do you ride when you're sick?

As a general rule.

I had the flu for about 2 weeks and finally feel about 95% now. I rode for the first time in 2 weeks on Sunday (1 Feb). If I'm sick I usually cage it.

I ride when i'm in a coma.

I do ride when im sick, but I dont ride hard. Just get from point A to point B.
I have to sometimes. i don't always have a back-up cage.

been there, done that, I've actually fallen asleep when riding

scary when your zipping along 80mph on the highway then something jars you to consiousness and you wonder how many miles you've been asleep

I figured there are a few people here without a cage. I wish I could do that, maybe when I retire in 20 - 30 years.
i said yes, because i have, but i don't think i would go as far as calling it a "general rule".
as long as I am coherent enough to pay attention.. if I am groggy sick, then no... but I don't really get sick too often

You picked the wrong poll option, small pee-pee haver. ;D
HA! inferior poll haver!!

i guess that's saying the same thing.

In communist Russia, poll has you. Pick an option for crying out loud!

Anyway, I only get sick in the winter and I imagine that the cold cannot aid in getting better. I also don't ride when I pull a muscle or am too sore from the gym.
I just got over the flu recently, and I've figured if my nose isn't running and I can pay attention, I can ride provided I took something to tone down my symptoms.
Hey, at least I'm honest...
I'll ride whenever. My commute is 30 miles each way through some of the worst traffic congestion in the Seattle area. It kinda sucks though, especially when you have to sneeze.
Have to-don't have a cage. Not because I'm "hardcore", just can't afford it.
I don't really get sick, thankfully, but when I do I ride. At that point it's only for transport, though, and only for things I need (food). Work is within walking distance if needed.

I don't really have a choice, I don't have a cage.
Tried commuting a couple a time when I had a cold. Coughing and sneezing inside the aria was'nt the best idea. Had to stop a clean the visor after one particularly bad sneeze.

Just cage it.

Depending on how bad it is. If it's just a cold/mild flu then of course. If it is so bad I can't stay concentrate, stay awake etc, I don't generally leave the house anyway :). I am not one of those "team players" that goes to work sick and infects everybody else in the place just to prove how tough I am.
yup, i do. not much holds me back from riding. if anything will keep me from riding, it will be horrible weather. i will ride snowmobiles and bikes even if i feel like i'm gonna puke. i normally end up feeling better the next day because i sleep like a baby all night.
I have before particularly if I ride out to my Cousin's although that's mostly allergies. The worst I ever had was once when my cage was in the shop and riding home I actually threw up in my helmet. *shudder* So unpleasant. Needless to say, now I make sure I have a back up cage. preferably one without carpets. Just hose it out!
