I was just wondering since 03 and up sv650s i'm pretty sure can use the SV1000s under cowling cover http://www.oneidasuzuki.com/store/parts-accessories/cowling-under-sv1000s-2003-2006.html and get it for a relatively good price (For those who want a belly pan look)

I was wondering what's the difference in this belly pan that is sold as an accessory
http://www.oneidasuzuki.com/store/parts-accessories/chin-spoiler-sv1000-sv650s.html

i'm pretty sure they are essentially the same thing (except the slits on the sides)

are there any key differences here? I was thinking of picking up one of those sv1000s undercowling covers for my 2003 SV650s (they fit right?)

Good question. Too bad the paint codes don't match up between 1000 and 650 for the cowling.

I need YC2 Blue. I wonder how Black would look...

the sv1000 belly pans DO NOT bolt right up to the sv650. you have to make your own brackets.

just find some pics of each, you can clearly see the difference.

i'm pretty sure the 03 sv1000s uses the same copper paint code as 03 sv650s no?

and to bdumas35 how did you construct your own mount? did you have to cut a lot and how did you fabricate your own mount

I'm not sure if u checked them out yet, but superbikestore.com has a nice belly pan @ a reasonable price made out of ABS plastic for a SV650. It comes in black or carbon fiber and includes hardware. I put a carbon fiber one on my bike and like the look, so will add some more carbon fiber later.
