i am shopping around for clip ons for 1st gen sv650, what is the diameter of the front fork? 41mm or 43mm?

not neccessarily. some clip-ons have a angled down bar which might not clear the fairing if you have an S model.

some clip-ons have a fixed angle, others (like 2 brothers, for ex.) are adjustable.
