For anyone who has tried the Pirelli Diablo Strada or the Metzler Z6 in the 120/70-ZR17 size.....Will it fit the front fender of an '03?

Just so we're clear here....I want to try a 70 section tire to see if it gives me better compliance and traction up front. I do realize that the 60 section is the stock size.

So if anyone has any expieriance with these tires...please let me know.

Thanks much...

I've only used the Z6 with a 120/60, but I did run a Diablo with a 70 up front with no trouble, so I don't see why the Strada or Z6 would be different. Go for it.

No prob.

But, go ahead, argue with personal experience. I won't get upset and cry like a little girl in the corner.

70s fit fine.

I have one right now in a Michelin pilot.

You will have to lower the front end 5 to 10 mm to get the bike to feel and handle well.

Pretty sure Avid has or is currently running a 70 profile front with no reported fender clearance problems...

The Dutch Suzuki SV650 cup bikes are runing a 120/70 Diablo Corsa front tire. As that tire is higher than the Strada, the Strade itself wouldn't be a problem I guess.
