Today I installed a “dealer tool” with an easily accessible switch.
Pic of the connector, pins, and gaskets

I ran the wiring down beside the battery into the “tool box”, and mounted a switch in the door:

The tool box now does double duty as the shock reservoir holder and dealer tool switch.
Here’s where the tool kit goes now, which still leaves more room under the seat :

Had a little trouble with the crimping of the very small pins. My crimp tool didn’t really have the correct size, but I managed somehow. Nevertheless, I’m pretty pleased with how it all came out. No more fumbling with that damn inaccessible connector!
