As a long time lurker, first time poster I would like some advice on a crankcase repair. I have brought a 2009 low km engine to replace the worn one in my 2000 track bike. The engine was cheap because of crankcase damage. I know I can use the crackcase from my old motor but I have removed the oil cooler and was thinking maybe I could repair the crankcase where the oil cooler hose banjo bolt connects to the case. Perhaps a short bolt and JB Weld or Devcon or fine stainless mesh and the same. Or am I wasting my time?
Thanks for replies.

If that's the only damage to the case, a good machinist would be able to fill in the missing part
(aluminum welding), re-tap the threads and machine the surface flat.
It would cost some, but the right way to do it.

JB weld and duc tape is not a reputable way to bodge something like that.
