my last japanese bike (86 gsxr 750) put my hands to sleep in 20 minutes from buzzing in the bars. i am probably getting an 09 abs sv next month. how is this bike in this area? can you make it through a tank full without numb fingers/hands? ???

When I got my bars adjusted correctly to fit me, I quit having any problems with numbness. Sometimes if I grip too tight on the bars there is a slight problem, but it's not a constant problem. Plus occasionally the first ride or two of the season I have that problem, but again it goes away once I ride a little and relax.

a friend of mine has a gsxr750 and bought some cheap carbon bar ends----and he complained they 'buzzed' too much when he rode. he went back to stockers and turns out.....no more buzzing. the bar ends serve as weight to dissipate that shock.

no prob on the SV for me.
