I know I may be jumping the gun a bit, but here goes....

I havent ridden or even started my bike (1st gen SVS) for about 6 weeks now, for a variety of reasons (been traveling intensely on job interviews around the country; other business travel). I live in NYC, and its now in the teens and 20s with some snow. I keep my bike outside on the street, with a cover.

I intend to finally put my bike in winter storage (at a heated garage) this Friday. Since my battery will likely be pretty low (but hopefully not unchargeable!), Im going to put it on the charger on Thursday night.

Should my bike fail to start even after charging the battery, is there anything else I can do to get it running (just long enough to drive to the garage)???

You might laugh, but anything you can do to warm up the engine will help, especially if it's below freezing. I have been known to play (very carefully!) with a propane torch to warm up my bike and ease start-up if I had to move my SV or load it onto a trailer...
