Wanted something big enough for DVD's, maybe a library book, my windbreaker, etc, but not too big. Most motorcycle tailbags were 9 to 11" tall, and since I knew I wanted something mounted all the time I looked at Walmart. Found a small luggage bag for $10. $12 total investment.

so is that bag specifically for a MC? Or did you fab some sort of strapping system to the rear seat?

I was going to ask why didn't you just get a tankbag due to the size, but for $12, how can ya go wrong?

Be glad that I didn't take the pictures over the septic tank drainfield..now that's green gress.

The bag came from Walmart from the luggage dept. I had basic dimensions in mind, and it came close. Looked at Target and other places but did not find anything as close. Went to the hardware store and got 6 feet of 3/16 bungee cord. Fabricated my own pig tail fittings (to connect the cord under the seat to each other) using some small 1" finish nails. I was surprised that the hardware store did not carry that. Used a rain gutter spike to punch holes in the bag..the bungee is a tight fit going through the hole. Perfect for my needs. Looked at true motorcycle bags, but after placing an item that was 9" tall on my rear seat, discovered that my leg had trouble going up that far. Decided I didn't want to live with that situation.
