Being fairly new to bikes, I apoligize if this is a simple question. But what causes the bike to chatter during rapid deceleration and downshifts? And more importantly, how do I stop it?

Does it occur because I don't match the rev's perfectly when I downshift?

Thanks

not sure what you mean by chattering... the rear wheel, match revs better when doenshifting, or slip clutch (I prefer to slip clutch and I'lll admit, I am prolly in the minority on this one)

or is it chattering like the chain might do if it were waaaay loose or sprockets severely worn
