Has anyone replaced their cheek pads, specially in a Shoei (RF-1000)? After a couple of hours of riding, my left ear start hurting quite a bit (right is just fine). The pads have a (35) label on them. Shoei sells pads from 31mm to 43mm, but I cannot find any guidance as to what the darn # actually means... :?:

The number refers to the thickness of the pad. You have 35mm thick pads. They make them in different thicknesses to allow you to custom fit your head/face. Just get a thinner one if it's too tight on your cheeks.

Thanks. I wasn't sure whether the # was a thickness reference or some other measurement.

wear it for a little while first. Cheek pads tend to break in a bit.
What's a "little while"? I've been wearing it for almost 3000 miles. It feels a little better than when it was new, but it doesn't look like it improved lately.
