How do you know they are alright?

If you stretched a chain that badly then change the sprockets. Steel sprockets are cheap.

when I replaced my tires Looked and cleaned the rear sprocket real good and it had no obvious cuts or nicks and I put the 14 tooth front on only about 3,000 miles ago. But I may do I whole replace if I don't need to I don't really want too.

the teeth in your sprockes (both front and rear) are worn and mated with your worn chain, if you put a new chain on without changing the sprockets, the new chain will wear out 50% quicker, sprockets are chaper than chains

yeah man, if your chains knackered, then change your sprockets as well, a full swap will set you back about 10 GBP for front sproket, 25GBP rear sprocket and id go for a good 100GBP DID/DC o-ring.

but definately change all of them if you replace one.
