once the carbs are out, that's the hard part.then with a can of carb cleaner with a wand.you remove the mixture screw and squirt the cleaner thru and see where it comes out. if it has a good stream call it good. i would try to squirt it back thru if possible.leave the mix screw out and remove the pilot jet and spray cleaner thru and see where it comes out it should come thru the carb throat and thru the mix screw passage, there connected.. take a good look at the pilot jet you should see light thru it one end to the other , i could not get mine clean so i bought new ones"jets r us"there inexpensive...then do the main jet... don't mess with the float. check all the screws on the carb they sometimes loosen. clean the choke passages too.you can usually reuse any gaskets unless there leaking.usually it's the pilot jet that clogs, if you have to do it twice you will learn more.there not complicated there delicate. my 2 cents..
