I have been reading a lot of positive feedback from swapping the cams in the engine, but all the threads have been talking about 1st gen engines? Can it still be done in a 2nd gen? Will it be as effective? What do I need (parts wise) to do the swap?
yes, it can be done and it will help. dont expect the 5-8 hp the 1st gen sees though. it will be more like 1-3 hp for the second gen.
if you are mechanicly inclined do this with the stock hyabusa pistons for best results. but there is disclaimers all over for that one becaus eit is rather a pita

+1 You need to mount the first gen intake cams on the exhaust and you only get a small gain.
