More pix from Cadwell:

I never liked this when it came out but now think it looks great. Triumph Hurricane:

Designed by Amercan Craig Vetter who also designed the Windjammer fairing.

An MV Agusta replica. Years back, I watched Agostini ride an MV here at Cadwell (he won!). The bike always sounded "flat" to me as if it wasn't running correctly but since it always finished first I guess MV knew what they were doing.

I have a soft spot for these works Rocket 3/Triumph Tridents. This was the first time I'd heard a multi-cylinder bike with a joined exhaust (3 into 1). They howled here at Cadwell, so smooth - compared to the aircooled Kawasaki triples and the GT750 Suzukis, not to mention the raucous John Player Nortons.

Old timers - recognise this Suzuki? I tried to buy one but my Dad said I wasn't having a 2 stroke.

I suppose a Yam picture would be appropriate:

This was the 750. When it first came out it was a 700 (two 350s joined). Derek Chatterton was a successful local rider and Yamaha dealer (I bought an YR5 from him), he was one of the first locals to ride one and in typical Brit fashion said: "it was a bit of a handful".

Finally, a plethora of Yams together:

The black Suzuki is a Suzuki T20 a 250cc twin also known in the UK, at least, as the "Super Six" (it had a 6 speed gearbox)

I also run a 675R Street Triple,I love the wail the 3 cylinder motor makes when you do 'spirited riding'
If you like the old bikes (I do),I prefer them to bikes with wings, then next weekend is Stafford show
Digger & Reg are guests of honour.
