I had the same delima and just decided to order a sprocket that is sold for an SV. I've seen front sprockets at $28.00 or less for a 17 tooth both a 525 and 520.
I just ordered a rear sprocket last night from cheapcycleparts.com. and price was very reasonable.
No they wont, i ordered a 14T front sprocket from knee draggers and they sent me one for the busa on accident so they sent me a correct one and the countershaft hole seemed to be a bit bigger than an SV650 shaft, BUT a busa sprocket is the same as a SV1000
They use the same sprocket. The problem, as mentioned, is the chain width. You can use a too narrow sprocket easily, but not so much for a too thick sprocket.
