Hello fellow SVRider family! It has been several years since I have owned an SV650, and somewhat recently I was told about a motorcycle that was sitting on the side of an acquaintance house. To make a long story short, he needed assistance moving it.... as a joke I stated "Provide me the pink slip and I will move it quick!". Turns out my friend was open to the idea and he handed it over. So the story of myself and this bike begins....

What I know:
- Motorcycle was in a minor drop/crash.
- Was sitting for about 1-2 years.
- Gas tank was left open
- Prior owner did not know how to do maintenance on motorcycle
- I got a lot of work to do.....

NOTE: See how gas tank was cracked open...

Time to give a BATH!!!

More to come....

Purchased a couple things and getting ready to get to work. Majority of parts purchased NEW. Found a used K&N filter online so, will clean and get her on.

Lets just look at this picture to remember where we started.... What I can tell you is at least the dude lubed it, because there was about 4 inches of wax lube built up in the primary.

Here are some of the goodies... no need to explain.

USED K&N Filter.... Will clean and put her back in!

This is how I always like to do work.... NAKED!!!:lmao:

This may be a slow build due to a thing called family and adulthood. Either way time to make a quick change of the damaged rearset.

BEFORE:

AFTER All I did was found some inexpensive chinese brand that was on eBay. It does the job and look and function is much better.

Apologize for slow progress, but I will continue to update as time allows.

NEXT UP - Rebuild Breaks
