I've been trying to find InfiniteReality's old posts on this subject but I'm getting nowhere... Just doing a bit of thinking about the next move for the bike, and got to thinking about the Bandit 12 wheel. just wondered how much is involved, what parts are needed, etc. I'm thinking it's captive spacer in the wheel, on the stock SV axle?

When you look at the work involved it's actually pretty straightforward- no harder than the conversion work I've done to put the speedo drive on the rear wheel. Though I doubt that would be compatible with the Bandit wheel somehow, not enough space I reckon. F3 wheel's definately easier, but over here Bandit wheels are cheap as dirt, and as Toadstrangler says it's the cosmetic thing too, looks exactly like a stock wheel.

Thanks a lot Toadstrangler. Only one more question for you, did you consider using a 17mm id,20mm od spacer in the existing Bandit bearings instead of a swap? Or did you rule it out as a bad idea?
