Yeah...

it is never good to get boots or helmets without trying them first...
they fit so diifferently between brands... hell even the same brand...


I got some Alpine star S-MX 5 Boots which were supposed to fit loose... but that was on boots in the 46+ range... I tried 42 which is about what I normally take everywhere.. if not a bit smaller.. so given the statement that they fit big I went with it..... but daaaaaaaaammmnnn they were so tight I could barely get my foot in them... and I don't have a strange foot either... I have seen this on jackets too... their larger sizes are oversized.. yet the smaller ones are undersized.... I'd have to get size 43 wih the A* boots when 43 is normally quite loose everywhere else...

ESP. hard to gamble when someones noggin is involved! I had to shop back and forth between the SIDI's and the A*'s The Sidi's were WAYYYYYYYY too loose around the calf for me. I couldn't go down a size bc the shop didnt have any. Ended up finding the A* that fit and going with them. Cant say I have anything to complain about, super comfortable.

funny boots never fit my calves... well they aren't really calves.. more like steers.. or bulls... ;D but it makes finding boots kind of crappy...

LOL. Do you wear leathers when you ride? I would think with the room they build in for tucking in leathers it would accommodate many of the bovine family

Just used mine... ordered up some Tech Spec grip pads.

hell no.. leathers and me don't mix unless I was to spend thousands for custom made ones... and I think my calves are only 18 or so... I think...

that's scottish herritage for ya and years of swimming followed by years of heavy weights...

but the main issue wasn't really the calf area.. I always leave that loose anyway... it was the ankle area.. and my ankles aren't anything out of the ordinary... they just make Alpine stars in china now so I guess the smaller sizes are more chinese frame oriented... I definitely don't have chinese bone structure...

Does anyone else have a newenough coupon they won't be using? I was hoping to place an order soon.

I used the one from the first post here. I bought new boots since my wife lost my pumas during her move. I got the Sidi strada air boots. saved $22. I ordered them and had them delivered to my parents house and they were there the next day. I also got a response to my email about my deployed state and I was told that if they do not fit when I return they will exchange them for me for free if they still have them in stock. freakin awesome people.

I'm gonna order from them in the future for sure, just waiting for the Scoprion EXO1000 to be on sale or clearance
