I am ...

1/12 scale, amazing detail and a great variety, including almost all of the current MotoGP bikes and all of Valentino's 125s, 250s 500s and MotoGP bikes.

My favorite are the classic street bikes (of course)

Watch out ... they are highly addictive.

I would love some of these for my desk at work... it currently is the stable for a Honda, not sure if it really exists in North America, but it's a 400R dirt bike... with lights and hand guards. Looks like an "XL 400R" hehe...

Then I've got the Ducati 998. It's a fan favourite around here.

yeah I've got a couple of bayliss' bikes the #12 2006 valencia GP machine and the #21 999F06. They are lovely models, the suspension is fully functional including the steering damper, the only problem is the price...and the fact that they are just toys. But I do love them and plan to get others (the #21 08 1098r) and the suzuka rossi/edwards bike would be cool.

my only beef with them is that they are huge rossi fanboys and focus mostly on his bikes, meaning the other manufacturers get largely ignored.
I am and addicting is so correct! Thanks RD350 for the link....been trying to get some of those models!
I have some of the New Ray models in the same scale. Nicky's gp championship ride sits in front of my work monitor. Much cheaper but the Minichamps have incredible detail.
That Rossi bike the asian guy made that was in a thread here once is totally nuts with all the upgrade kits he used.
My latest score ... looks amazing on the shelf.

WOW....I used to paint models.
Those are some impressive!!!

Anyone stumbled upon a naked SV650? I've seen models of the SV650S.
Stumbled on this recently, looking at buying some. Looking for models i can paint and assemble (Tamiyas). Are these considered to be an Investment?. Noticed they run anything from 39 $ to 180 $

Certain Minichamps may be valuable some day ...

Certain Tamiya model kits may be valuable some day ... if they are un-opened.

Somehow I doubt that any completed model made from a kit will go up in value.

That said, they offer much satisfaction and enjoyment ... and look great on the shelf.

Minichamps ar so nice though that I dont bother doing anything myself these days.
I do. I must have over 25 in 1:12. They really need to diversify their lines. Rossi is way overrepresented. My latest score was Stoners 2007 Ducati.

I try to get mostly racebikes. I also have a few IXO bikes as well. They arent as high quality as Minichamps but they are just as detailed.

I'm going to try and get Schwantz's 1993 Suzuki RGV 500. The only other Suzuki I have is KRJRs 2000 RGV.

I have both IXO and Minichamps as well ..

Ixo, though not as nice, have some interesting models, like the 1982 RG500 Suzuki ridden by then champ, Franco Uncini.

From the shelf in my garage, Minichamps 1/12 2001 Bayliss 996...

The model is heavy, and the quality is outstanding! The Buell plastic model next to it is from Walmart, no comparison.

Should dust that model when I get a chance.

Still pre-order I think. When it becomes available I'll be the first one in line!

I also want the SR500 and the XT500 ...
Love Minichamps (Pauls Model Art) - Had about 20 1:18 F1 cars and sold all but 3 of them. Still have 9 driver helmets. The only bikes I have are some Tamiya model kits and some NewRay diecast. The NewRay stuff looks good from 5 feet away.....
