hey guys i know that the blinkers do not double as tail/brake lights on our SV's but the harley iron and other such tail lights combine the blinker into a tail/brake light and i was wondering is there any way to replace the blinkers amber lens with a red lens and wire the blinkers to operate like tail/brake light + blinker the same way the iron does and alternate "pulse" for safety during braking.

i know the back off light exists for the sv but this way of alerting the bike is stopping is much more aggressive and attention grabbing IMO

thanks

Yes, but it involves custom wiring, new blinkers with dual filaments and a brake light modulator.

The descripton in this video might help you get started:

I think it would be easier (especially since the 2gen SV taillight is especially bright for a bike) to just do a back-off modulator and switch the front or rear turn signals to LED to make the flash rate faster.

(actually, that's basically what I've done--I just need to pick out a set of LED turn signals)
