Something about the heads being the first things to hit the ground bugs me about Guzzis and BMWs.


Yeah same here. Also the hottest part of the motor snuggled right in front of your legs. What is the advantage to this over the nicely tucked away cylinders on most v-twins bikes? ..I'm guessing air flow, but is that all?

If you ride in winter, that's a feature not a bug.

Mounting it that way lines the engine up perfectly for a shaft drive for all you touring bike riders.

When can we expect the first 800+lb, cruiser based, "adventure" bike? I know it's coming. So do you. Anything you can fit a skidplate under will eventually be an 'adventure bike," as sure as every Japanese bike in the 70s had a "scrambler" edition.
