I decided to lube my front brake lever. Holy crap what a difference! It seemed that the brakes had been relatively lackluster, especially at low speeds (this despite SS lines and EBC pads). Not anymore! A dab of grease around the pivots and the effort has been markedly reduced. Really, a cheap "mod".

that's not a mod, it's normal maintenance.... at least MY dealer does it, clutch lever, shifter linkage & cables too.

I've also started to sand my roters every few thousand miles. Some 1000 grit wet/dry and some elbow grease to sand down some of the ridges and put a scuffed finish into them works wonders.

Hence the quotes around "mod" in the original post. They get my cables periodically, but never the lever.
