alpinestars jacket pad removal?

i have a gp-plus jacket

and i was wondering if the elbow pads come out.

i know i should just leave them in but when i go to work its only a 3 mile ride and it gets cold and i just want to wear the jacket to keep me warm and i think i don't need all that padding sitting at a desk. hm...... well i did just hit my elbow on one of my work carts but i'm willing to live dangerously.

well it does state they do come out, but 3 miles is still three miles of potential dangers...

thats too nice of a jacket to wear to work in, I would have something else at work to wear to keep warm. that jacket is made for ridin' Happy Holidays!
