Aftermarket coils/plug wires?

OEM is almost $300 for everything needed with the plug caps. Looking at options for some aftermarket coils. There are loads of cheap Chinese options that look like they are hit and miss. Ive used Dynatek mini coils on other projects and have liked them but also not so cheap - $189 for a pair and another $30 for plug wires. Any other options worth considering?

Is 3 Ohm coils correct for the SV CDI?

I'm using the plug caps off these here in the UK on my Gen1 1999,

eBay UK Coils and Plug caps

I've not swapped the coils in as my originals are still working fine but I got them just in case.

On a previous forum a lot of users have bought ,"Caltric " gear in the US and it's been fine,

eBay USA SV coils.

I've tested these cheap plug caps and they work fine.

AliExpress plug caps

HTH :)

I agree, but the thing that suffers is consistent quality with cheap parts. QC is expensive and QA is good in theory but worse in practice and also expensive. Its hit and miss, you get a good coil, it will last forever, you get an abnormality and its sh*t. Thus is the life of cheap parts. These coils are $38 shipped to my door. There is probably zero quality checks going on for that price point.
