Time to offer your advice for life. Any lesson you've learned will fit into this thread.

I'll start:

Wipe front to back.
Brush your teeth.
Use lotion when you masturbate (men) and kill two birds with one stone.
Don't post after drinking.

I'm old enough I've made plenty of mistakes......

Don't max out your credit cards.
Don't give relationship advise to people that break up.
Don't pick up things that are too heavy.
Call your parents once in a while.
Find a career you enjoy.
Forgive often.
Don't criticize your friend's/children's current relationship person.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Get a copy of the Bible. Read it, understand it, and practice what is taught in it. All the good advice we need for life is contained in this book, believe it or not.

you can tease a girl about a lot of things. Her intelligence, her tastes, her family, her education, but you can NEVER tease her about her weight.
Yeah... and never ever call a girl Who-re or Slu-t, unless you are ready for wrath and utter destruction.

Even if you don't believe it, read it and know for yourself and not just following the dogma spouted by others. At the very least, you'll have a greater understanding of why so many people buy into it.

^ Yes, and I highly suggest the book of Proverbs in the OT for "wisdom." Atheist or Agnostic, or even the Buddhist or whatever "religion" one might subscribe to will nod in agreement reading the contents/messages of that book.

Book of Proverbs = profound. That's no lie.

Hmmmm......advice for life.

I guess I'd recommend:

A) Reading the owners manual for stuff before ever using it.

and.....

B) If you're watching TV and there's a "reality show" on, CHANGE THE CHANNEL.

There. That ought to do it.;)

Know when to cut and run.

It's better to be merely thought of as a complete idiot, than to open your mouth and prove that you are.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. You have no idea the stuff you can get just by asking.

Also, if you're ever in doubt as to whether you're allowed to do something (like going backstage at a concert or something), act as if you own the place and are supposed to be there....9 times out of 10 nobody ever questions you.

Truth. It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

True, you learn a lot by asking questions. But think before you ask a question. Spewing out all manner of dumb ass queries is just going to annoy people. Think about it a little frist. Then, if you still don't understand it, ask someone who does.

In that vein, use some common sense. Seriously, so many of lifes troubles can be avoided by using a little sense, which seems to be lacking in a lot of people.

Never pass up an opportunity to use the restroom.

Treat people with respect & dignity, even if they do not return the favor.

Never use a screwdriver as an oil filter wrench. ;) (That one was for TLC's hub)

Don't eat anything bigger than your head.

One of my dad's friends told me (a few years ago), "Joe, when you get to be my age there are two things that you that you want to use when you see them because you don't know when the next one will be around. Use the p!sser at every opportunity and never waste a boner."
