I aint calling anyone an idiot forthe bike they buy....to each is own...but the point I am making is that any given rider, at any given riding level, will, IMHO, be a better rider on a smaller bike, than a Busa. Oh, not fair. Since Stranger has limited his posting here, and others have calmed down busting me, when have you seen a recent jab like that from me?? Haven't.Nudist said:[dougz]Well, sounds like you have a sugar daddy.... keep on those knee pads [/dougz]
;D
at least you know that much, ive come to that conclusion also as thats what is keeping me off those bikes (besides a test ride or two here and there).Nudist said:... the downside, I will die if I buy one.
I know, Doug has been a good boy.DougZ said:Oh, not fair. Since Stranger has limited his posting here, and others have calmed down busting me, when have you seen a recent jab like that from me?? Haven't.
After getting more miles on my bike after the Rally (since I went down there with pretty much a brand new bike, and 10 miles on the suspension) and fine tuning the suspension.... even that was beginning to scare me a little. It was so planted in turns that I couldn't get it going fast enough to make me scared.... thats an issue right there. I hopped on my buddies R1 and hit some roads.... doing the same turns triple digits... Exhilarating, and painfully easy.evilbologna said:at least you know that much, ive come to that conclusion also as thats what is keeping me off those bikes (besides a test ride or two here and there).
I got no truck with that.DougZ said:Sure, people will post that they have seen guys ride Busa's well, or they had one and rode it well.....but, I think it would be hard to argue that each of those guys would ride a smaller bike better...at least at a place like the Dragon.
" no truck"? Define this term for me please.Sarge said:I got no truck with that.
No problem/issues, I believe.DougZ said:" no truck"? Define this term for me please.
Intransitive verb meaning I won't argue, that we're on the same sheet of music.DougZ said:" no truck"? Define this term for me please.

Thats just it though.... where do you draw the line? Inherent risk continues to raise with speed.Doozer said:HA HA HA Yes, I post again! And I just might post again.
Granted I am not as fast as you guys. But I am getting faster every year. With a better suspension it is easier to take the curves I ride everyday faster. But that is why I upgraded I don't want to be scared, but I see why you don't like that. It gets you to feeling all safe and you could start to become lazy. Next thing you know there is a guradrail in you grill.
