i have been thinking about putting differnt cams and hayabusa pistons in my sv650. i currently have full wyleco race exhaust and desnorkeled airbox. has anyone done this? will it affect daily rideability? is the HP gain worth it? whats the hype with the busa pistons? How much of a project is this?
thanks for any help

yes, there are plenty of us that have done the cam swap with great results.
cam swap has been discussed here very frequently and the consensus is that its a cheap way to get 4+hp and simple to install.

The busa pistons are 11 gram lighter than the stock pistons + with one layer removed from the headgasket they raise the compresion and give a few extra hp.
It's alot off work. You need to take the carbs, heads and cilinderheads off. Then you need to hone the cilinder for the pistons and put it back together.

When you change the cams/pistons you also need to rejet.
