no, the 675 is a huge POS, everyone that owns a triumph becomes gay, their balls shrink and they are unable to hold an erection for more than 2 seconds, unless they are watching gay midget porn ;D

edit: numbers suck :-[

IIRC Triumph got out of producing I-4's altogether since they felt like they couldn't compete with the Japanese in this segment. So they've gone with twins and triples in '06. Basically they can produce a mid weight sport bike (600-750cc class) without having to worry about matching the likes of the GSX-R 600/750 or ZX-6R (636?). Instead they're just making a good bike that's a got a bit of the best of both worlds by getting a bike with a good mid range power band.

I'd like to take credit for the above due to my astute knowledge of all things motorcycle ::), but it was pulled from Dave Edwards Great Escapes article, Cycle World, Nov 2005, pg 12.

lots of people on the triumph forums are expecting a 675 naked version within the next few years... it seems likely with the speed four getting discontinued

the 675 rules. naked or not, it's either that or the new r6 as my bike next year. i really love the thin waistline of that new daytonda 675 though.

When ever I get a new bike in a year or two, the 675 is probably going to be it. The spirit of the bike just seems like the SV, but more. You know what I mean? ;)

If you want a mini-speed triple, just buy the Daytona 675, yank fairings, Speed Trip headlights, clean up wiring, BAM!
Sell the fairings to the first squid who dumps his shiny new Daytona and there you go.

BTW, the Daytona 675 WILL BE MINE!!! BWA HA HA HA HAAAA!

And then I will ride wheelies past thejimdaddy's house everyday with a Super Squid cape on! (and nothing else)

Yum.I saw it in the flesh at the Birmingham show a couple of weeks ago and it is a lovely looking bike.More sports orietated than the current one and allegedly it goes like doos off a shovel too. They say it won't be cheap though as production will be limited to what they know they can sell at full price.

If you check out the images here:

You may understand why i don't think there'll be a mini Striple. That's not an engine for a naked bike. But you never know. They've ruled out a Daytona 1150 and that seems a more obvious choice than a 675 triple.
