G'day Fellas, first post. Does anyone know if the Australian Spec SV650FU is restricted in the same way as the Gladius, with a dual map ECU? Would be great to know I can release the American Spec ponies with a simple wire disconnect. I understand the Legalities etc. Thanks, Fisher. Edit: Relisted because of various typos.

The gen 3 sv650 (2016-2023) cannot be derestricted by cutting the "mode select switch" wire like the gladius can be. However you can unlock the full power with an ecu flash and tune I used woolitch racing. Alternatively you can remove the throttle plates from the electronic throttle bodies.

I have just done mine by replacing the ECU with a full power one. Takes all of 5 minutes and it's completely reversible.

Gladius wire cut doesn't work mate, it's the same as Gen3
