Any data on this as an alternative to early K-model GSXR options? I have a lead on a donor bike. GSXR front ends are stoopid expensive here.

Assuming I'll need the following donor parts:
  • Forks
  • Triples
  • Steering stem
  • Wheel
  • Fender
  • Axle
  • Rotors
  • Calipers
  • Clip-ons
Then questions are:
  • Headstem bearings - see below
  • Length and offset implications for rake/trail - see below
  • Speed sensor - usual GSXR hall option? Stock ZX?
  • Ignition barrel - not fussed about steering lock, or I'll fab something.
  • Steering stops?
  • Clip-on risers?
  • Donor bike is ABS, so I'm hoping to be able to adapt that... but will cross that bridge when I come to it.
Any other issues or info I should be aware of greatfully recieved!

All Balls conversion table gives me:

ID: 35
OD: 55
Width: 14
Part no. 99-3523-5 for both top and bottom bearings.

Stock SV should be ID: 30, OD: 55, W: 17mm apparently. So that should work.

Gen4 ZX10R BPF forks are about 735mm long
26mm offset clamps
(Rake 25deg, Trail 110mm)
Spring rate 1.0kg/mm (racetech)

SVS is bigger 28mm offset, but rake is the same, trail about 10mm shorter. Fork length is about 725mm at static sag, so around 750 fee.

I currently have the top of the fork tube flush with the top triple, so I'm hoping the geometry will be close-ish.

Sounding promising...

Other available option I have is 2015 gsxr600 forks - 720mm, 23deg rake and 93mm trail for the sake of comparison.

I could get extended caps, but that's an extra US$200 on top of the $1k for the front end.

Got silly lust for the gold Brembo monoblocks off the GSXR1000...
