Because of Covid-19, I could get an amazing deal on a new 2018 Suzuki SV650 as long as they don't devalue mine in a trade. This seems like the perfect time to buy. I've always wanted to ride a SV650. I also have my eye on a 2019 Kawasaki RS900 Cafe, but I don't know if I want a 4 cylinder.I'd be giving up though a perfectly reliable 2007 Kawasaki 650R which the only maintenance has been basically oil changes. The 650R only has 4,171 miles. I've been riding the Kawasaki 650R models for 13 years. I thought I'd try the SV650.

I've got a '19 SV650 and a '17 Z900 (not RS), and they're very different animals. You'll gain a little horsepower with the SV, and a ton more with the Z. The standard SV comes with a non-adjustable suspension, whereas the Z suspension is adjustable, but you're paying more for that. It all depends on what you're looking for and of course your budget.
